【Tour Report】A Beginner’s Walking Guide Tour of Morioka – Promenade concert
On a perfect day for strolling around town, we held the “First-Time Morioka: Promenade Walking Tour”!

Although the famous Ishiwari-zakura (Rock-Splitting Cherry Tree) was nearing the end of its bloom, it still had plenty of beautiful blossoms, while Sakurayama Shrine was in full bloom.
Along with visiting these seasonal cherry blossom spots, we also guided participants to the Iwate Prefectural Public Hall and the Iwate Bank Red Brick Building.

Morioka Castle Ruins Park was at its absolute peak, attracting many visitors. From the Ninomaru area, we also introduced Mt. Iwate. As we shared stories about what Mt. Iwate means to the people of Morioka, we made our way toward the Civic Cultural Hall.
The view from Kaiun Bridge was also outstanding.

After the Pipe Organ Promenade Concert, participants of the guided tour were treated to a special session with hall organist Mr. Shibusawa, who gave us an in-depth introduction to the pipe organ.
Being able to see up close the very instrument we had just heard was truly impressive, and its intricate structure left everyone in awe.
